Directions to the Cleveland House Inn

Guests, Our main office is in the Cleveland House. Please check-in there unless notified otherwise.

From New York and Connecticut: Follow Rte. I-95 to Rte. 138E. The exit for 138 East is 7 miles from the Rhode Island state line. Following signs for Newport, you will travel 25 miles on Rte. 138, crossing the Jamestown Bridge and the Newport Bridge. ($2.00 each way). Take the first exit off the Newport Bridge, "Scenic Newport". At the bottom of the ramp take a right. At the second set of traffic lights you will bear to the left onto Farewell St. Continue for several blocks until you come to a traffic light (there will be a Pier One store to your right). Turn left at this light - in front of Banana Republic). You are now on Touro St. After the second Movie Theatre, the Jane Pickens Theatre, turn right onto Clarke St. The Cleveland House, #27, will be on your right.

From Boston: Take 93 or the Expressway to Rte. 24S to Fall River. From 93 you will travel approximately 38 miles on Rte 24 into Fall River. You will be on Rte. 195 West for less than a mile when you will exit to Rte. 24S/Newport. Rte 24S merges with Rte 114S. Continue on Rte. 114S for 8.5 miles into Washington Square. You will pass the Newport Police station on your right. Continue straight ahead to Washing Square, on your left will be a park. Stay in the left lane and go around the park making a u-turn. You will now be on Touro St. After the Jane Pickens Theatre turn right onto Clarke St. The Clarkeston Inn, #28, is the fifth building on the left: charcoal colonial with red doors. The Cleveland House, #27, is directly across the street.

From Providence and Warwick (Greene Airport): Take Rte. 95S, stay in left lane to Rt. 4S, Proceed on Rt 4 for 10 miles, Rt 4 will then merge into Rt 1, follow Rt. 1 for less than a mile and take the exit, on you right, for Rte. 138 East and cross the Newport Bridge($2.00 each way).
